The Pleasanton Heritage Association is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Pleasanton's
heritage buildings and neighborhoods in order to protect the historic character of the city and the quality of life of its
residents.
The Pleasanton Heritage Association is a community-based organization created to:
* Identify
opportunities for preservation and enhancement of Pleasanton's heritage buildings, landmarks and natural resources (trees,
parks, landscapes).
* Provide input about issues impacting the preservation of Pleasanton's historic character
and resources.
* Encourage construction projects and remodels of heritage buildings to utilize
high quality, historically themed architecture and building materials, thus preserving Pleasanton's core historic
buildings and neighborhoods.
* Work with the City of Pleasanton to create and maintain an inventory of significant
heritage buildings and neighborhood features.
* Serve as a resource for information about preserving, remodeling
and restoring heritage buildings.
* Review proposals for the demolition of heritage buildings, landmarks and natural
resources (trees, parks, landscapes).
* Work with the City of Pleasanton to ease traffic circulation problems within
heritage neighborhoods.
